One of these ventures is Kalikha — a proudly Filipino brand dedicated to sourcing and supplying high-performance activated carbon while honoring the land, people, and ecosystems it comes from.
The name “Kalikha” is drawn from two Filipino words: kalikasan, meaning ‘nature’, and likha, meaning ‘to create’. It is our guiding belief made visible — that industry, at its best, creates with nature rather than against it. Every product we supply carries that care: for our clients, our partners, and the planet we share.

The Philippines produces approximately 14 to 15 billion coconuts annually — making it one of the world’s largest coconut-producing nations and the most reliable source of coconut shell activated carbon on earth.
Among all carbon precursors — coal, wood, peat — coconut shell stands apart. Its naturally dense, microporous structure yields activated carbon with a BET surface area of 800–1,500 m² per gram, iodine numbers reaching 1,400 mg/g, and hardness exceeding 95%. No other biomass source comes close.
